About Atlantic Edge
Helping businesses make sense of messy problems.
Atlantic Edge is independently led by Michael Walsh and works with businesses of different shapes and sizes, from local owner-led businesses to larger organisations with finance, MI, reporting, systems, AI tool adoption or process challenges.
Michael has spent more than a decade working across finance, commercial management, management information, systems and operational change. That background is useful beyond finance: many business problems come down to unclear information, repeated manual work, awkward systems, weak controls or processes that have grown around people rather than around the job that needs to be done.
Much of his work has sat between business needs and technology: understanding what people need, shaping the right reporting or system solution, working with developers and technical teams, testing the result properly and helping it land in day-to-day operations. That includes helping businesses think practically about where AI tools can be useful, and where they are a distraction.
Atlantic Edge is for any business that wants practical help to untangle a problem. That might be a hospitality business, retailer, trade, professional service, local operator, growing SME, finance function or larger corporate environment. The aim is the same: describe the problem clearly, understand what is really driving it and choose a practical next step.
