Step 1
How we work
A first conversation should feel useful in its own right. It is a chance to describe the problem plainly, ask better questions and decide whether there is anything worth doing next.
Step 2
Identify
Step 3
Recommend
Step 4
Deliver or Refer
Free first conversation, scoped paid work only when worthwhile
We won't recommend a project unless we believe there's genuine value in pursuing it. Not every conversation leads to paid work, and that is fine.
When work is worth pursuing, the next step is agreed clearly before paid activity begins. Scope, assumptions and expected value should be understandable without unnecessary ceremony.
Sometimes the most useful answer is an existing product, a process change, a referral to another provider or no project at all.
If it goes beyond a conversation
Confidentiality matters. If a non-disclosure agreement is needed before discussing sensitive information, that can be put in place before going further.
Some work may be time-based support, such as regular MI reporting or a few days helping untangle a process. Project work is scoped upfront with an estimate of the time involved.
Once scope is agreed, the estimate is held unless there are material changes to what is being asked for, the available information, or the assumptions behind the work.
Ready to describe the problem?
A short note is enough to start.
